KAYAK PADDLES

We can custom manufacture kayak paddles of any style, length, blade size, blade shape, and material.

Our paddles are made from the highest quality woods available.

The wood for each paddle is chosen for it's strength, beauty, and behavior in water.

Tulip Poplar is often used for the shaft because it has the highest strength to weight ratio of the domestic hard woods.  The shaft is made in two halves, each with a half circle routed down it's length.  When assembled, the two halves form a hollow shaft to reduce weight.  Fiberglass can be added  to the shaft, blades, or both sides of the paddle for ultimate strength and protection.

This Striped style is made with:  Black Walnut, Curly Maple and a hollow Poplar shaft.

It is 227cm (89.5") long and the spoon is 5/8" deep.  It is fiber glassed over the entire power face and shaft. 

I tested this paddle and it is incredibly strong.  This paddle would be perfect for touring or fending off bears. The spooned blades really grab the water. The Curley Maple is very figured while the Walnut is a deep chocolate brown.
